Best Sources for Tech News
Every day fans and followers reach out to learn about the websites/blogs/podcasts I follow to stay up to date with the tech & business world. So if you are ready to do some reading about reading, here you go:
Stratechery
Stratechery is a great blog managed by Ben Thompson if you’re looking for something a little bit deeper than just news reporting. He does an amazing job putting tech news into perspective and tearing down the corporate strategy of the big tech companies. Go to Stratechery
World Economic Forum - Toplink
I like World Economic Forum (WEF) articles mainly because they’re doing great job explaining the macroeconomic trends and how technology can impact policymaking. The WEF provides a huge compilation of content that details global issues and maps the interconnections between different topics. Go to WEF Toplink
The Information
The Information covers the tech industry news with a great focus on VC deals, mergers, acquisitions, and new policies. By providing thorough analysis on tech news and highlighting the key takeaways their content brings a unique perspective. This is the very reason why The Information is worth the price tag. On top of that it comes with many “community-building” perks such as a Slack discussion group and regular monthly video conferences. Go to The Information
No Mercy / No Mallice
I enjoy following Scott Galloway, professor of marketing at NYU Stern and the author of The Four, especially his twitter account and hot take videos. His website, No Mercy No Mallice, is a great place to find articles that detail out his point of view on the tech industry at an intersection of strategy, finance, and marketing. Nautilus
Nautilus is a science magazine more than a tech news dedicated media channel. They cover topics from architecture to microbiology and linguistics. I include Nautilus in this list mainly because of the content they publish on technology. Their articles take deep dives in the science behind emerging tech and analyze it’s potential implications for the future. Go to Nautilus
HBR After Hours
Great podcast! HBR After Hours is a fantastic podcast hosted by Youngme Moon, Mihir A. Desai, and Felix Oberholzer-Gee. What makes this podcast stand out are the hosts and their smart takes on contemporary topics. Easy to listen, short but delightful conversations on technology and business news. Go to After Hours
